The Spiritual Travel of Blogging.

Updated: Oct 22, 2020

I have to say that this blogging thing has been a spiritual journey for me. I've always been a storyteller by nature but that's always been face-to-face. I would have to also consider myself a bit of an empath or I guess you could say a bit of a sensitive person. I've had a very long history of reading people and I've learned over the years to adjust myself to my environment around me. I guess you could say it's a form of being polite or maybe even people-pleasing… Heck, I even say it's very much a form of codependency.

In the practice of psychology, they talk a lot about the idea of locus of control. Ones personal belief of where an individual sees his or her personal energy residing… where they believe their own power in the world operates. And the funny thing about this blogging thing is that it interferes with that feedback loop in a very subtle way. I don't have someone in front of me that I can get a read off of if I am going in the right direction with the tale. It doesn't completely remove the feedback from your audience but it greatly delays it. The is always the comment section of a blog or even the online forum but after a narrative is published, it's difficult to adjust. So now I'm having to rely on another feedback source. And this is all very new to me, I'm going to have to shift my locus of control inward. To the muse within. I will have to walk in the faith and trust that where I'm going with particular subjects have value and meaning. That the subjects are coming from someplace deeper inside of me instead of the shallowness of my ego. There will also be a need for self-forgiveness as I come across new insights into my own personality. So I invite you to come along with me on this journey as I learn to connect with a deeper source and trust in the path. Thank you everyone for taking the time to read my story and I hope to hear more about your journeys as well. Please feel free to comment below or join our online forum and share some of your paths that you're on today. I hope you'll honor me with the privilege of walking alongside me… As we go deeper into new ground.

Blessings and Gassho.
