Hey guys it's good to see you. Why don't you come along as we spend the afternoon and evening exploring the 13th-century wall city of Chiang Mai Thailand. Chiang Mai is a 13th-century walled city that was originally the former capital of the Lana Kingdom. It's now a bustling big little city that is filled with wonderful restaurants, amazing temples, and endless amazing wanderings. Wat Phra Singh is Chiang Mai's most revered and maybe most beautiful temple. Wonderfully decorated by ornate mosaics manicured gardens and a wonderful temple that is enshrining a Sri Lankan Buddhist statue called the Lion Buddha.
Thailand and Chiang Mai, in particular, are really well known for their night markets and there seems to be a market happening throughout town almost every night. I think the thing that really impressed upon us was just how vibrant and active and bustling and how much stuff there was in these markets.
There's a lot of ways of getting around Thailand but there's one in particular that I highly recommend and makes for a wonderful story. I’m referring to the tuk-tuk. The tuk-tuk is a modern version of the Asian rickshaw but has been modified by today's standards to look more like a three-wheeled motorcycle hot rod. Often decorated with wild colors and flashing lights and racing exhausts. These adventure mobiles make a wonderful way of just getting around town and feeling a breeze in your face.
