Yeah if you take a look at Toyota in Latin America and around the world you will notice that they use the frame and suspension of Land Cruiser line ( 200 series Prado) and then modifythe peripheral materials to suit the particular market that there are working within. Such as switching up gas and diesel, body styles ( 4runner / FJ Cruiser , Lexus ) depending on potential sales. Here in America it does give folks the opportunity to get their hands on the good bones of the Land Cruiser line. Just might need to get rid of the front air dam to get the approach angle up.
Zero is a mute point on the Lexus. Anybody would have raised the suspension as they hit the dirt roads.
Lexus is a luxury version, that IS why you have a "road" and a "off road mode".

I was impressed with how well the modern IFS vehicle flexed in stock form.
There are a lot of people that prefer the Lexus 150/200 series over the Toyota version due to the luxury, leather seats, insulation quality, etc, etc.
I myself cannot afford one, but more power to those that can. The newer front end body work of the Lexus is probably the number 1 complaint.
IFS has come a long way. Curious as to what the new "body on frame" Bronco will have to offer being it's IFS.
Yeah we are going to wait and see. The new Defender is really interesting as well.
Yeah Toyota international offers more stripped down versions of the Prado and 200 series as well. Doesn't fit the U.S market unfortunately.
